This workshop will explain the basics of stir-frying and highlight the important elements in cooking a simple Chinese meal. Once you have mastered the techniques, you will be able to confidently create a wide range of dishes without looking at a recipe again.
Chinese Homestyle Intermediate
For people who want to extend their knowledge in the Chinese kitchen. In this workshop, we will be introducing other cooking techniques as well as the use of more uncommon ingredients such as fermented bean curd and preserved vegetables.
Thai Cooking Basics
The Thai Basic workshop introduces you to the delightful flavours of Thailand. You eill learn to make some of the curry pastes from scratch that are used for familiar favourites such as Green Chicken curry and Thai Fish Cakes.
Thai Cooking Intermediate
This workshop is for those interested in cooking Thai cuisine beyond the usual curries and green papaya salads. Thai food, although popularly considered as one cuisine, comprises actually of food from four different regions - each influenced by the neighbouring countries
Vietnamese recipes and cuisines are characterised by its abundant use of fruits, vegetables and fresh herbs, including lemon grass, Vietnamese mint (Rau ram) and long coriander (Ngò gai). It is often called the 'light cuisine of Asia’ with delicately flavoured soups and wide variety of salads.
Japanese Homestyle Cooking
Japanese food is as refined as any of the great cuisines of the world, but alongside the elegant fare of Kaiseki or the world famous sushi, is also the humble bowl of rice and simple home cooking. The Japanese cuisine offers a large variety of dishes and regional specialties with an emphasis on the freshness of ingredients and the careful handling of the product during preparation.
Make Your Own Sushi
Sushi is not only healthy and delicious but is also the perfect party food. In this workshop we will show you that ANYONE can make sushi. With a few ingredients, you will learn how to roll your own maki and making the ever-popular uramaki or inside-out roll is just another step away.
